Hey Everyone!!  My name is Sam McGregor, Jr. and I began on July 1, 2025 as the Transitional Pastor here at Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church.  My role is to assist the congregation through a process where we examine what has worked well in the past, what excites us about ministry now, while also making difficult decisions about what is no longer effective.  We are seeking input from the community about what our neighbors see as local, national, and international needs so that we can together make a positive impact while we grow spiritually.   

I am a native South Carolinian having grown up on a dairy farm just outside of Columbia.  In fact, my degree from Clemson is actually in Dairy Science.  My background as a bridge builder guides me in helping to connect people who may not know one another very well .  I have served in ministry settings in both North and South Carolina.  In addition to my role at Doby’s I am also serving as the Interim Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Lancaster County.

I am married to Kathryn who serves as the Director of Christian Education at Unity Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill.  We have three young adult children living in Pennsylvania and South Carolina.  I enjoy my early morning walks as well as getting out on the golf course as much as possible.
